Each year the L&CPU (our regional organisation) runs a competition for individuals to enter, the entry for which is via your club. If you are intending to enter will you please drop me a quick email at noel@joanpattersonassociates.com

You may enter up to four images in each section. The sections are as follows a) Open Monochrome Prints b) Open Colour Prints c) Nature Prints d) Open Monochrome Projected Digital Image e) Open Colour Projected Digital Image f) Nature Projected Digital Image.

Gold Medals will be awarded to the Winner of Each Section. Ribbons and Certificates will be awarded for first, second and third places in each section. The Judges will decide on Certificates of Merit for each section. In additional to the section awards there will be a Gold Medal awarded for the, a) Print Photographer of the Year b) Projected Digital Image Photographer of the Year c) The Young Photographer of the Year (See separate rules) d) The L&CPU Photographer of the Year. The overall result is based on the total score of all your images in the respective sections.

Images or image significantly similar must not have been entered into any L&CPU Individual Competition previously. An image or image significantly similar may only be used in one section within the competition.

Prints must be mounted on card and backed, 50 cm x 40 cm and be no thicker than 4mm. A digital file (1600 x 1200) of each print must be up-loaded to the clubs competition portal. Deadline for uploading 23 April and hand in prints on the 25 April.

PDIs must be 1600 Pixels (Horizontal) x 1200 Pixels (Vertical), saved as jpeg format in sRGB colour space and uploaded to the NCPS competition portal. Deadline for uploading 23 April.

Entrants must own the copyright of all images used in their entry. The Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union accepts no liability for any breach of copyright by an entrant. Entries must be all the work of the stated Author. The L&CPU reserve the right to use images for Folios and Exhibitions and PAGB competitions. The L&CPU reserve the right to display digital versions of any image on their website. Copyright of an image remains with the photographer. Prints will be retained from this competition for L&CPU Folios, Exhibitions and PAGB competitions.
