Thought some of you might be interested in the following grab shot taken through my living room window yesterday morning. Both our front and back gardens are visited regularly by a bunch of feral pigeons and by a sparrow hawk. It was inevitable that one day these two would coincide and this is the predictable result. I had plenty of time to get my camera and fire off a shot before I had to go out. (Techy details: 1/30th at f4.0, 290mm; 70-200mm lens, 1.4x convertor). Unfortunately (depending on your viewpoint) when I stepped out into garden the sparrow hawk took to the sky; as did the unfortunate pigeon minus a good deal of its guts and even more of its breast feathers.
