Hi Everyone The first half of our next meeting, scheduled as President’s Evening, will be a presentation on our ideas about how the club moves forward to a new season - all very positive. However this email is about the second half when I would like to look at and discuss the images
I hope you are all having a good Easter weekend. Next Tuesday we will have a presentation by our very own Rob Hockney, entitled: "One man’s photographic journey - from 1958 to 2024”. It will be at the Poynton Civic Centre at 8pm. This will be a unique event, by one of our leading lights,
I hope those of you who watched the competition on Saturday evening enjoyed the images from the 22 competing clubs. We won comfortably, with Jackie’s ’Nothing to see here” being the judge’s winning image - congratulations Jackie, so well deserved!! The top 4 clubs: 1st - NCPS with 27 points 2nd= Newark with 22 points
This Tuesday, the 5th of March, we are back in the Civic Centre in Poynton, for a rather different, and exciting evening. We have Graham Currey, who will be providing the necessary equipment and lighting for a Portrait Practical session. All you need to do is to turn up and BRING YOUR CAMERA

Just a quick update to let you know our overall rankings in the GB Cup comps. A very pleasing 7th place in the Open section out of 58 clubs, and 11th equal in the Nature section out of 62 clubs. Great results!

We had a good number of entries for last Tuesday’s PDI competition with high standards throughout. Andrew Mills, our judge, was excellent, with a wonderful ability to appreciate what makes a great photograph, not restricted by rigid “rules” which can sometimes penalise innovative photography.
