There are four exciting Speakers: – Andrea Hargreaves MPAGB (YPU), Steve Proctor DPAGB (Chorley PS), Christine Johnston DPAGB (Warrington PS) and Eddie Leach CPAGB (Oldham PS).
They will each be giving a presentation which will include their recent successful PAGB Award Panels for Photographic Merit.

As well as the trophy for the top scoring club, there will be medals for the best mono and colour images, with ribbons and certificates for runners up

Pleased to note that our hard-pressed and overworked temporary webmaster has finally been able to update the North Cheshire Challenges website. As well as recording the results in full of this year’s inter-club competitions, the sets of winning images are also there for all to see and admire. The latest blog is now included, and scrolling down through earlier entries gives an interesting insight into previous comments. More fascinating still is the information and images to be found under the old NCC pages. By following the links it’s possible to trace the stories of these historic events right back to their origins.
These records have been carefully maintained over the years, recognising the significance that we attach to the North Cheshire Challenges as a regular feature in our annual exhibition week. If we hope to maintain the enthusiasm and support enjoyed to date from all the leading clubs who regularly participate then our own efforts in organising, promoting and reporting on them may need to become more efficient in the years to come.
(Please do not take this as a criticism of any member of our existing hard-working committee, whose conscientiousness is beyond reproach!)
Hi everyone – I had this passed to me a week or so ago – might be of interest to those of you with cash burning a hole in your wallet…
I am writing to invite your members to a free Photo Expo that we are holding in Liverpool on the 24th April in association with Wex Photo Video. Representatives from leading photography brands will be present with their latest gear for you to try, including Canon, Fuji, Sony and Manfrotto. There will also be demonstrations of commercial photography through the day. The Expo is free, more details and tickets can be found here:
On the 8 May we hold our Annual General meeting when the committee reports on the current season. As a club we discuss and make plans for the coming year including electing a new committee, I would encourage everyone to attend and contribute.
We have two important vacancies on the committee without which the club can not function so nominations are requested for the next President and Syllabus Secretary, please ask me if you would like to know what is entailed.
Last years AGM decided it was time to update our constitution and rules last done in 2014 to more accurately reflect how the club actually operate. Rob took on this job and we now have a new draft set of constitution and competition rules which the committee recommend we accept. These documents are available below. We welcome all questions and amendment suggestions but we would appreciate these being brought to our attention before the meeting to facilitate a more informed discussion.
In addition we now need a Data Protection policy a draft of which is also below and which the committee will again recommend we adopt.
Any motions from the membership or items for discussion are invited at least 14 days before the meeting for inclusion in the agenda, a draft agenda is below.
