The much anticipated North Cheshire Challenges are upon us and we can now confirm that the Civic Hall will be buzzing on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

On Wednesday we have 18 top clubs battling for supremacy with their best five prints which presents our esteemed judge, Mike McNamee FRPS FBPPA, with the task of marking 85 sparkling pictures – including five crackers from our own club of course.

On Thursday 22 clubs, again including North Cheshire, compete for the Challenge Trophy. Tony Dudley, that ever-popular judge from the Midlands will eliminate, round by round a total of 110 images, all different from those seen on Wednesday.

Add to all this the display of over 100 NCPS exhibition prints filling all 18 illuminated stands around the hall, plus our 120+ top DPIs scrolling on a large TV screen prior to the inter-club competitions and you’ll appreciate the benefits of being there, and being there EARLY.

Our experiment this year of course, is to have a non-competitive exhibition and Danny (in his first year as Exhibition Secretary) has worked hard to get this together. He’s looking for your support in erecting and dismantling the show (see below) and we all should be setting aside the two inter-club evenings to be sure the BIG events are not missed!
