Next season we will be launching a “Development Group” for our keen, but less experienced photographers to complement the Discussion Group which already runs for the more regular contributors to our submissions to external competitions. The Development Group will necessarily be limited to a single figure number of participants who will be joined by two or three “advisors” drawn on an informal rotating basis from our Discussion Group and Committee members. The Group will be active in cyberspace and will also meet every couple of months or so on a Monday evening to share and critique images and to obtain advice and help about any aspect of photography; the object being both to enable participants to improve their skills and, over time, develop to be able to support the club by providing images for external comps.

If you are serious about wanting to improve your photography and are prepared to put in time at the coal face to do so the Development Group may be for you. Participants will be expected to contribute images regularly to the reviews in cyberspace and to bring along half a dozen or more to the bi-monthly meetings. If this sounds like you please sign up. Membership will be available to the first nine people to contact me.

And, a word of warning…. You will be asked to leave the group to make way for others if you’re initial enthusiasm is not maintained.
