No, I’m not giving up and selling mine, but I was at Bob Rigby’s this afternoon and he showed me a Mk 1 500mm f4 which he is selling on behalf of a personal friend. It’s in good nick, complete with the massive, hard carrying case that few people use. It’s yours for £1700. If you’re interested either contact Bob direct or talk with me. I suspect you may need to be pretty quick.
Bob has also launched his own ProClamp which is, er, a professional level clamp for mounting your big lenses like the above to hide shelves, railings, lamp posts and lots of other places when there’s no room for tripod legs.
