Roger Evans judged our 1st print competition of the season. Although a new judge for LCPU,  he is an experienced judge elsewhere. A member of Chester PS, his interests as a photographer are sport, landscape & wildlife although his nature shots are more macro, rather than birds or mammals. He has been taking photographs for 50 years and been involved in sport photography especially for 30 years. He personally felt that titles for images were very important, and we should think about appropriate titles, as sometimes they can often confuse a judge!  There were 57 prints presented on the evening, and as of last season the pdi equivalent was also projected on screen so everybody was able to see the images.  Out of the 57 images, Roger held back 19 of varied genres. He scored 4 images the full 20 marks, 1 portrait, 1 landscape & 2 nature. Overall winner was one of the nature images –  Crested Tit 2 by Rob Hockney.
