30 quality monochrome prints were laid out for perusal by the attending members who were required, in accordance with the rules for this competition, to judge the entries on the night. Each submitted their preferences, allocating a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice, on their anonymous voting slip.

After the totting up process it transpired that four prints were in close contention for the trophy with the winner, by a short head, emerging as Jon Allanson’s “Rajasthani Elder”.

Congratulations to Jon who, being unable to drive with his foot, missed out on the glory of collecting the winner’s cup. It’s delivery will come as a pleasant surprise as he wasn’t aware of his prints being entered – they were left overs from the Annual Exhibition and submitted in his absence!
