The first meeting of the new year was a tale of two halves.

Before tea we enjoyed a PAGB recorded lecture produced by wildlife photographers Pam Lane ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP and Eddy Lane ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP- ‘Svalbard, Kingdom of the Ice Bear’. A 40 minute presentation covering all aspects of various trips they have made to the Svalbard  archipelago. This included a range of photographic subjects and short video clips – travel arrangements, landscape, birds and bears. This was followed by a short AV “The Polar Bear” which highlighted the hunting of polar bears in Canada. Anyone interested in joining a petition against the practice might find this interesting

After the break we had a short AV  ‘A Day in the Mara’ – including images from Pam’s successful ARPS panel.

We then enjoyed a 30 minute selection from the PAGB 2015 GB Cup Open section.

All in all a stimulating evening.
