Room bookings for the upcoming season
At the Annual General Meeting a number of members expressed a desire to have more meetings held in the Council Chamber. In response I met with Haf Barlow from the Town Council and agreed that for the 17/18 season on the 1st, 3rd and where applicable 5th Tuesdays of the month meetings will be held in the Council Chamber and the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays we will be in the main hall + Colin Prior Big Night. This will allow the syllabus to be designed so that the evenings where we make most use of the extra space are in the Hall and other nights in the Chamber.
In addition seven evenings this season currently scheduled for the hall have been moved into the Council Chamber:
6/12/16 Battle of the Sexes; 13/12/16 Xmas Special; 31/1/17 Adrian and Jane Lines; 14/2/17 Christine Widdall; 25/4/17 Members 10 mins; 2/5/17 Clubworker awards; 9/5/17 AGM. Thus we will have 13 meeting in total in the Council Chamber this season.
I hope these changes reflect the wants of most members and will help us deliver the syllabus we want
