Hi All

As January comes to a close we turn our attention to a busy time of the year which culminates on our annual exhibition and our own regional competitions the North Cheshire Challenges- 22-24 March 2017.

First I would really encourage everyone to enter images into the exhibition and to come along to the North Cheshire Challenges to see a wide range of images from the best photographers in the area.

Exhibition arrangements:

You can enter a total of 5 prints and 5 PDIs into the exhibition across Open colour, Open mono and Open nature categories. We expect to have room for all prints to be exhibited and all PDIs will be projected. There will be an uploader for both prints and PDIs with the print hand in / uploader closing date being 21 February (there can be no extensions to this date since the images will immediately go to the exhibition judge, but you can always bring your prints in earlier if you can’t make the 21 February).

The exhibition is open to the public from 10-4 on Thursday and Friday and last year attracted over 100 visitors.

The Exhibition culminates with a members and friends Dinner and Awards evening on the Friday evening 7.30 for 8.00. This year we have decided on a Fish & Chip or Cheese & Onion Pie super with desert (bring your own drinks).

North Cheshire Challenges (NCC) – Wednesday 22 March Interclub Print Competition and Thursday 23 March Interclub PDI competition. Come support our clubs entry and see the well respected judges Gwen & Phil Charnock pass comment. Two great nights which fill the hall for a great atmosphere.

Help required

Every year a lot of members contribute to arranging all the above, as part of that effort we will be collecting the names of volunteers to:

  • Help set the exhibition up on Wednesday 21 March 12pm onwards and to take it down on the morning of Saturday 25 March
  • Man the exhibition when open to the public 10-4 Thursday and Friday. We need 2 members at a time doing two hour slots
  • Donate raffle prizes for the NCC evenings
  • Take entry money / tickets on the door for the NCC Wednesday and Thursdays
  • To collect prints from participating clubs on Wednesday evening
  • To make tea and coffee during the NCC and Award evening

Many hands make light work so thanks in advance for your support.
